Lynne Lawrence- Executive Director of AMI The Board of the Montessori Society of Canada is delighted to announce that Lynne Lawrence, Director of Training of the Maria Montessori Training Institute and Schools, has officially been appointed Executive Director of the Association Montessori Internationale commencing June 1, 2008. We are delighted that Lynne Lawrence will be one of our distinguished speakers at the MSC National Conference, ?Thinking Beyond Boundaries: The Role of Montessori in the 21st Century.? in Vancouver, British Columbia , March 13, - March 15, 2009.
Important Notice regarding Fundraising Initiatives We are in the process of setting up a database for future fundraising initiatives which may include invitations to functions, alumni gatherings or mailings. The list will be compiled from school lists, membership lists, conference lists as well as refresher or seminar/workshop lists. If anyone has a particular objection to their name being included on such a list, we would ask that they please contact our Office Manager, Teresa Dorgan, at ellesmeremontessori@bellnet.ca or at montsoccan@yahoo.ca There may be times when MSC and the Training Centres may venture into joint fundraising efforts in support of AMI or national initiatives to benefit schools and children in Canada or abroad. We thank you for your support of our work on behalf of the child.

Academic Year Programmes Both the Foundation for Montessori Education (Toronto) and the main campus of the Montessori Training Centre of BC Vancouver) are offering their well-established academic year programmes beginning in September of every year.

Society Membership Renewal Please remember to renew your annual Society membership by December 31. Annual membership is $75.00 for the period January 1 to December 31. U.S. memberships are $75 U.S. and International memberships are $85 U.S.The Montessori Society of Canada, The AMI Alumni in Canada, will only guarantee receipt of the first issue of AMI Communications provided payment and membership form are received by February 1.
